I was dodging COVID-19 for many months. But it finally caught me.
I’m one of those “it will never happen to me” kind of guys with all sorts of co-existing conditions that make me a higher risk candidate for anything.
It made me totally exhausted. For two full weeks, I just stayed in bed and slept – or at least attempted to sleep. I did not want to eat or read or write or watch television or talk to anyone. Putting on my slippers was a big job. I got one of them on and decided to skip the second one.
I was lucky. Many in my age and comorbidity categories suffered greater consequences.
I’m better now, regaining my strength.
My message to all of my friends:
Be careful, please.
