I count myself fortunate to have seen generations of dogs, the senior experienced canines passing on their personalities and responsibilities to the little tykes that follow.
The photo above is of Billy Bragg (black) mentoring Zack Adams (white) in the way of PLAY BALL. It has been our pack’s tradition for over 30 years. PLAY BALL is one of the many ways our dogs train the humans in their lives (mainly Sherry and me) how to have fun while improving our physical and mental state.
As senior humans, we now have the responsibility and opportunity to pass along all the wonderful lessons we have learned to the younger generations who follow us.
Here are a few on my list I try to pass on:
Spend more time outside.
Follow your passion.
Cardboard boxes can be toys.
Open doors for others (and yourself).
Listen more.
And…
PLAY BALL.
