This year, I was snowed in on New Year’s Eve. Three-foot snow drifts kept me from wild celebrations.
Instead, I chose to write down the names of family, friends and business associates I’d like to maintain meaningful relationships with in 2023. I came up with 87 “lucky” folks (these are people who typically make me happier and wiser). Next, I got out my 2022 calendar and estimated how much time I invested with these individuals as compared to others (including many who offer me little positive energy and some who are real drainers). To my surprise, only about half of my time was invested in my plus group.
In 2023, I’m going to focus on spending more time with those who enrich my life. If I can do that, I believe I will have more kindness, love and joy to sprinkle on everyone who enters my circle.
