I’m aging backward at astounding speed. Here are my formal documentations.
Documentation Number One: After 74 years of no stuffed animals on my bed, Freddie the rabbit and Millie the mouse have suddenly shown up. And I talk softly to them before I go to sleep.
Additional Confirmation: Freddie and Millie whisper back to me.
Documentation Number Two: Just like back at Saint Cecilia’s kindergarten, I lay my head on my desk each afternoon at 2 and take a tranquil nap until the school bell rings.
Additional Confirmation: The bell rings precisely each afternoon at 2:15. “Clang, clang.” I really hear it.
Documentation Number Three: Figuring out how to tie my shoes before going off to kindergarten was a big deal for me way back when. Today, I’m struggling with the same chore when I’m forced to wear my dress-up shoes.
Documentation Number Four: Unlike the past 70 years, I feel no stress or anger because I think everyone I care about loves me.
Additional Confirmation: They do. I just know it in my heart.
It’s pretty obvious to me. I’m aging back to where I came from.
Heaven.
