I did a scientific survey to study the huge impact I have on my three closest friends.
I asked friend #1: “Did you think about the advice I gave you yesterday?”
Close friend #1: “Nope. I played 18 holes of golf and had a cold beer.”
I asked friend #2: “I bet you got a kick out of that email I sent you last week.”
Close friend #2: “I haven’t read it. It probably went to spam. My filter must be working.”
I asked friend #3: “Shouldn’t we talk about that heated argument we had over lunch.”
Close friend #3: “You had an argument? I had a grilled cheese.”
My Conclusion: People don’t think about me nearly as much as I think they do.
