My daughter, the psychologist, asked me, “Dad, are you getting wiser as you age?”
I’m always worried she’s asking me a trick question, one to trip me up in a loving father/daughter sort of way.
“What do you think?” I volleyed back.
I received no verbal response. All I got was that nodding, knowing look they must teach in psychology school.
I went for the home run. “Yep, I think I’m getting a lot smarter every year.”
My daughter, the psychologist, took it in and smiled, “I guess what you think, Dad, is all that really counts.”
